What is the Mill Grove Audubon Center

The mission of the Mill Grove Audubon Center, John James Audubon’s first home in America, is to educate and inspire people to cherish and protect the natural world, by preserving, celebrating and building upon Audubon’s artistic, scientific, and historic legacy.

Mill Grove, a non-profit organization TIN # 13-1624102, is financially supported through membership, program and admission fees, grants and donations.

How will the Rapture of Raptors  Event Help?

This event will allow Mill Grove to continue maintaining these permanent non-releasable education raptors as well as providing the necessary means to adopt additional injured birds.

See the other birds of prey that are housed in a permanent refuge at the Audubon Center at Mill Grove.

These birds are unable to be returned to the wild due to illness or injury.

The 1st Annual

Rapture of Raptors Benefit

Since May 2005, Blaze has lived at the Audubon Center at Mill Grove.

Blaze, a 4 year old red tail has a left wing that was injured when a vehicle hit him.  Braveheart, another red tail, joined Blaze this past April.  Braveheart also cannot be returned to the wild as a result of brain damage suffered of reckless flying as a juvenile.
